In 2002, after graduating from the Banking Academy, Vuong Xuan Nguyen joined the Conservation and Development Research Center for Wildlife in Vietnam and collaborated with journalist Do Phuong in journalism until 2017.
Journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen was honored to have nearly 20 years of close assistance to journalist Do Phuong.
With the guidance of journalist Do Phuong, journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen has written hundreds of articles on promoting the Tree Planting Tet Movement initiated by Uncle Ho in the 1960s and the traditional wildlife hobby of the Vietnamese people, turning the Wildlife Profession into an ecological economic sector, contributing to rural economic development, tourism development, environmental protection, and landscape preservation of historical relics. He was honored to have worked with journalist Do Phuong in preparing drafts for the Prime Minister's Directive on wildlife economic development in 2004, the Party Central Committee's Directive on developing the Wildlife Profession into a high-value ecological economic sector in 2009, and organizing the 2010 Scientific Workshop on Uncle Ho with nature and wildlife.
Journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen commemorated with the Central Committee of the Party's Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Journalists Association at the 2023 National Press Conference.
Since 2017, after journalist Do Phuong passed away, Vuong Xuan Nguyen transferred to Life and Law Newspaper and the online newspaper, News Providers. In this professional media environment, journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen has matured in journalism and media activities, leaving many imprints on the community through a series of investigative reports.
During this period, he wrote many moving articles about revolutionary veterans, intellectuals, and typical scientists who made significant contributions to the country throughout different historical periods. Notable articles include: "Uncle Ho's sacred will always guides us"; "Uncle Ho with Tree Planting Tet 60 years ago"; "General Vo Nguyen Giap: The elder brother of the army lives forever in the hearts of the people and humanity cherishes peace"; "Journalist Do Phuong - Journalism and unforgettable memories"; "Professor Dao Duy Anh: From patriotic revolutionary to distinguished scholar"; "Professor Vu Khieu - a brilliant talent, radiating profound enlightenment and noble soul..."
Since 2020, he transferred to the Journal of Rural Development Science in Vietnam and collaborated with scientists at the Institute of Cultural and Development Research, the Vietnam Rural Development Science Association, contributing significantly to the development of rural development policies, emphasizing cultural factors in the nation-building and development process amidst deepening international integration and digital transformation.
Recently, journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen has accompanied artist Huong Giang in various projects to develop folk and classical music from different regions. Among them, many artistic music videos have been highly appreciated by the public, such as: "Uncle Ho's advice before leaving"; "Near Truong Sa"; "Confessions of a Journalist"; "Hanoi, sacred and majestic…"
Journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen received recognition at the National Press Association in 2017.
Not only known as an enthusiastic writer, journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen is also recognized as an expert face in many TV programs addressing specialized issues arising from life.
He has contributed alongside experts, scientists, and publishing units to produce many documents such as: "Uncle Ho with nature and wildlife" (2010); "The wonders of nature and the heritage of humanity" (2020); "A glimpse of new rural Hanoi" (2022); "Development of smart urban agriculture in the Southeast region" (2022)… Among them, the book "Uncle Ho with nature and wildlife" is a compilation of a large amount of material that he had previously closely verified with Mr. Cu Van Chuoc.
With his positive contributions to journalism, media, the Wildlife Profession, and rural development activities in Vietnam, journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen has been honored with: Certificates of Merit from the Central Committee of the Party's Block of Central Agencies in 2007; the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in 2016; the Hanoi People's Committee in 2021; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association's Commemorative Medal for the Vietnamese Press Career in 2022, along with many other prestigious awards from various central and Hanoi agencies.
Through the direct assistance of journalist Do Phuong and his relentless study efforts, journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen has increasingly become a respected writer in the fields of journalism, media, the Wildlife Profession, and rural development.
