More than 20 years ago, after graduating from university, Vương Xuân Nguyên had the opportunity to work closely with many revolutionary veterans, intellectuals, and prominent figures such as General Võ Nguyên Giáp, journalist Đỗ Phượng, Professor Vũ Khiêu, Academician Nguyễn Duy Quý... It was within this favorable environment that Nguyên embarked on his journalism career, broadening his knowledge across various fields.
Regarding the topic of "a lifestyle in harmony with nature and the love for scenic creatures among the Vietnamese people," Nguyên collaborated with journalist Đỗ Phượng on numerous articles published in the magazine "Vietnam Essence" and various media outlets. He emphasized that scenic creatures not only embody traditional cultural values but also represent a rich potential in ecological economics. Additionally, Nguyên provided insightful analyses on the significance of the tree planting movement initiated by Uncle Hồ in the 1960s.
By 2016, many of his articles on these topics were referenced and cited in the development of relevant policy documents.
From 2017, Nguyên transitioned to "Life and Law" and the online newspaper "The News Carrier" In these professional media agencies, he thrived, leaving his mark through a series of investigative reports on topics such as fraudulent iodine-containing soup powder, combating counterfeit books, and exposing scams targeting tourists in Vũng Tàu.
During this period, Nguyên also authored numerous articles profiling notable figures who left positive impressions on readers, including President Hồ Chí Minh, General Võ Nguyên Giáp, Professor Vũ Khiêu, Journalist Đỗ Phượng, Professor Đào Duy Anh... Particularly in articles about learning and following Uncle Hồ's moral example, Nguyên was honored with commendations from the Central Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc.
Since 2020, Nguyên has focused on writing about rural development and OCOP products for the magazine "Vietnam Rural Development Science." He has also actively participated in workshops and contributed to the development of legal documents related to sustainable ecological agriculture, modern rural areas, and professional farmers.
Especially amidst the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nguyên engaged in various activities supporting businesses in their digital transformation and adaptation efforts. In recognition of his achievements, he received commendations from the Hanoi People's Committee in 2021.
In his role as the Secretary-General of "Vietnam Rural Development Science," Nguyên innovated both the content and form of the scientific journal, organizing numerous community-oriented activities. Notably, he made significant contributions to the photo contest "A Glimpse of New Rural Vietnam" and the accompanying book published in 2022.
In June 2023, Nguyên married actress Hương Giang, focusing on developing music-related projects. Most recently, his music videos "Sacred and Splendid Hanoi" and "The River of My Homeland, Your Homeland" have introduced the essence of craft villages and the beauty of Thăng Long - Hanoi over thousands of years.
Known not only as an enthusiastic writer and researcher but also as a television personality, Nguyên has appeared on various programs such as "For a Green Future" on VTV1; "Tea Time of Heartfelt Exchange" on VTV3; "Capital and the World" on Hanoi Television. He has also served as an expert panelist addressing societal issues such as environmental protection, climate change adaptation, sustainable development, and digital transformation.
To commemorate his contributions over the past 20 years, on June 10, 2022, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded Vương Xuân Nguyên with the Commemorative Medal for the Vietnamese Press's Cause, recognizing his role as the Secretary-General of "Vietnam Rural Development Science."
