Responding to the celebration of family values, many artists have released works of art to honor the image of fathers. Recently, Meritorious Artist Huong Giang, a vocal instructor at the University of Military Arts and Culture, launched the music video (MV) "Thuong Cha" (Love for Father), with music by Quang Hung and poetry by Nguyen Dang Do, to beautifully portray the image of a father through contemporary Vietnamese music.
VTC14 introduces the MV "Thuong Cha" performed by Meritorious Artist Huong Giang.
In 2024, Father's Day will fall on Sunday, June 16. In our country, Father's Day and Vietnamese Family Day (June 28), both celebrated in June each year, are occasions to honor family members.
With the sincere emotions of a child, Poet Nguyen Dang Do composed the poem "Thuong Cha," with simple, rich imagery to highlight the message of honoring fatherly love and the sacrifices fathers make in life. In harmony with these emotions, musician Quang Hung wrote the song "Thuong Cha," which was successfully performed by Meritorious Artist Huong Giang, a lecturer at the University of Military Arts.
The MV "Thuong Cha" was directed and filmed by journalist Vuong Xuan Nguyen at So Village, Quoc Oai District, Hanoi—a traditional Vietnamese village outside the capital.
In the MV, Meritorious Artist Huong Giang, with her sweet and clear voice, narrates a touching story of fatherly love through music. After years of studying away from home, a successful woman returns to her hometown with her partner to visit her father on a hot summer day.
The father’s tolerance and sacrifice serve as a mirror and a source of motivation, providing children with a strong spiritual foundation to face life with more love and confidence. The song "Thuong Cha," with its deep and lyrical melody, aims to express gratitude to fathers in this world
